Fuze HR is currently seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to support our new partnership in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in both pre-sales and post-sales phases, collaborating closely with customers to understand their needs, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation using our portfolio, tools, and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a foundational knowledge of critical physical infrastructure in Data Centers, including cooling, power, racks, cabling, fire protection, management, and physical security.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of product lines and configuration tools represented by our client – Critical Power, Cooling, and IT portfolio.
  • Thoroughly review construction drawings and specifications to create compliant and competitive solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to review solution requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical summaries, and quotation packages.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during pre and post-sales processes.
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues that may arise during the sale.
  • Understand competitive advantages/disadvantages to ensure the best solution is created.
  • Create customized diagrams and floor layouts for solutions.
  • Attend site visits and extract all necessary information to support the customer’s critical environment.
  • Prepare scope of work documentation for contractors.
  • Develop and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and resources in a centralized document repository.
  • Create, track, and update all sales opportunities with our internal CRM funnel.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturer to successfully manage product delivery to site.
  • Maintain a high level of service to existing and new customers.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Assist with challenging client requests and issue escalations as needed.
  • Support the client team in business development and marketing activities.
  • Conduct technical training sessions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree from an accredited institution (electrical or mechanical), or other relevant education.
  • 1-3 years as a consulting engineer or sales engineer (Electrical or Mechanical).
  • Familiarity with construction channel, tender processes, and procurement structures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on-time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Proficiency with applications including Microsoft Office products, Adobe, AutoCAD 2D.
  • Strong work ethic and passion for success.
  • Target-driven with a focus on achieving targets and growing business.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.

Other Desired Experience/Credentials:

  • 3D modeling experience (e.g., Revit).
  • Experience in the data center/critical environment industry.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification.
  • RCDD / DCDC or other Data Centre-related courses.

Other:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work from home.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Valid Passport to travel.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, plus annual bonus based on sales revenue.
  • Benefits: 3 weeks of vacation, health benefits package, phone/vehicle allowance.
