RESPONSIBILITIES for the construction project engineer role:

The incumbent of the position acts as the responsible party for a range of products, overseeing the deployment of customer requirements to other sectors of the company and leading improvement projects and product investigations. Additionally, they may be called upon to manage complex projects and serve as the technical authority for certain products.

Specifically, the incumbent:

• Serves as the technical expert for the products under their responsibility.
• Ensures a clear understanding of customer-specific technical requirements and communicates them to other sectors of the company.
• Ensures the integrity of the product configuration and technical data.
• Prepares and updates the required documentation related to the product.
• Conducts investigations on products, analyzes and makes recommendations on the disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Supports activities related to suppliers (qualification, investigation, etc.) as well as the supplier prevention program.
• Provides technical support to clients and suppliers.
• Plays a key role in the preparation of submissions and supports program managers.
• Oversees product investigations and product qualification.
• Writes and presents deviation requests internally and externally.
• Leads and/or participates in project reviews.
• In collaboration with managers, ensures compliance with regulations (transportation, storage, environment, etc.).
• Represents the company technically to clients.
• During the preparation of submissions, ensures the overall impact of the submission on the product.
• Ensures the continuous improvement process for products.
• Performs any other related tasks.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS construction project engineer role:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Relevant experience as per the requirements.
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
• Available for occasional business travel.
• Bilingualism (French-English) in both spoken and written communication is essential.
