What are the responsibilities?

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment/processing machinery, and auxiliary equipment and systems inspection
• Diagnosing irregularities and malfunctions, performing adjustments, and repairing and replacing parts as required
• Dismantling and movement of machinery as necessary
• Performing preventative and predictive maintenance; cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating equipment
• Assembly, installation, and alignment of new machinery
• Welding/fabricating parts on occasion
• Ensuring a clean, tidy work site
• Mentoring junior team members
• Helping out other areas of production and maintenance as necessary

What are the requirements?

• Red Seal Millwright trade qualification, preference for candidates who have completed a formal apprenticeship in Canada
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
• Must be comfortable working in adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, exposure to animal by-products & unsavory odours
• Welding/fabricating skills and experience desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
