Role: Human Resources Vice Manager

Status: Permanent

Location: Montreal, QC

Our client is dynamic, constantly growing and evolving is currently looking for a bilingual a Human Resources Vice Manager to join their team in the Montreal area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on all HR related matters
  • Oversee and actively contribute to the entire recruitment cycle
  • Provide quality service to all employees by professionally handling all complaints and inquiries
  • Assist in the implementation of human resources strategies, policies, procedures and programs
  • Ensure effective monitoring of all day-to-day human resources functions in order to achieve departmental and organizational objectives
  • Provide appropriate advice on legal issues and compliance with market labor laws
  • Support our US branches
  • Contribute to the implementation and revision of organizational structures in the divisions concerned act as a change agent by creating a work environment culture
  • Creating the job profile, selecting search methods, selection and interviews, coordination of background checks, presentation of the offer
  • Evaluate payroll processing, including ensuring that leave and sick leave are recorded in the system
  • Respond to employee queries in a timely manner
  • Set up and maintain current employee files and database
  • Administer new employee on-boarding
  • Contribute to the creation and development of human resources policies and procedures
  • Participate in other human resources projects and tasks as required
  • Act as first line for all HR administration issues

The required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management
  • 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources as a generalist (CPHR is an asset)
  • Experience / knowledge of US employment regulations
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
