Fuze HR is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Commercial Service Technician Lead. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our commercial and industrial customers by overseeing service and installation of doors and docks in today’s ever-changing market.
Position Overview: Our business is rapidly growing, offering ample opportunities to install and service various types and makes of equipment. While this position will involve a significant amount of out-of-town work in Northern or Remote areas, we provide paid lodging and hotels, along with excellent opportunities for overtime and a $2.00/hour industrial premium during these projects.
Responsibilities:
- Service and install various products, including sectional doors, rolling doors, fire doors, vehicle restraints, impact doors, and loading dock equipment.
- Repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
- Maintain proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping by detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments in a timely manner.
- Interact with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address diverse door and site requirements.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals.
- Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or their designate.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in rolling, high-speed, sectional, dock levelers, and mega doors preferred. Contact us if you have some or most of the above.
- Welding and/or electrical experience is a plus.
- Travel required (overnight, weekends, on call).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle a physical workload.
- Proficient with power tools.
- Independent work capability.
- Service-oriented individual with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Adaptability to a changing work environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check.
- Basic math skills.
