Title: Site Superintendent

Position: Contract, Renewable

Shift: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

Location: Morrisburg, Ontario

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee industrial construction projects for our client located in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
  • Supervise and mentor on-site personnel, including subcontractors, foremen, and laborers, to ensure compliance with safety protocols and construction best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues or deficiencies in workmanship or materials.
  • Oversee procurement and delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring availability as per project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, including daily logs, site reports, and safety documentation.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to the project.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within the region as needed.
  • Certification in construction management or related educational experience is required.
