What are the responsibilities?

  • Develop and manage an independent dealer distribution network to facilitate and maximize market share and sales
  • Work with dealerships to provide high customer satisfaction
  • Develop a relationship with the dealer organization and network
  • Manage day-to-day business development activities
  • Protect and manage the financial resources of the Company and their dealers
  • Communicate the needs of the customers and dealers to the appropriate department within the organization, making service suggestions to ensure ongoing delivery of impeccable service and sales success
  • Market and sell all available products to drive branding
  • Respond to order and retail requests
  • Develop annual district strategy and individual dealer strategy.
  • Drive dealer performance by holding quarterly Sales/Action Plan meetings with core customers (dealers).
  • Present market share data and competitive trends to dealers and company management
  • Dealer Training – conduct dealer training & promotions
  • Conduct/facilitate district sales training schools (new products and competitive)
  • Ride with new sales specialists and help get them on their feet

What are the Requirements?

***MUST BE FULLY BILINGUAL (FRENCH/ENGLISH) – this will be tested as part of the interview process

  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling within the equipment dealer space – construction equipment highly desirable, but not mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and listening skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively; this is a home office/travel work environment, so individuals who prefer external structure and significant management guidance will not be successful
  • Must be performance driven, hungry, eager to build your brand and reputation
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions and pivot as necessary to capture market share effectively
  • Experience with MS Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must be comfortable with up to 75% travel
  • Must live within an hour of a major airport, MTL would be ideal, but we are open to meeting candidates residing within the eastern provinces
