Overhead Crane Technician

Actively recruiting for 2 Overhead Crane Technicians that will service companies within the GTA.

Your technical expertise in overhead cranes and problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of overhead cranes. We’re looking for a proactive and skilled individual who can ensure the safety, reliability, and productivity of our customers’ equipment while having fun along the way and learning as you go!

Location: Within the Greater Toronto Area

Pay Rate: $42-$55/ hour depending on experience level

Shift: Monday to Friday (day shift)

Responsibilities include:

Customer Communication:

·Regularly communicate with customers to gather information on technical issues.

·Review technical inquiries and recommend effective solutions related to operation or maintenance.

·Answer service calls promptly and professionally.

Technical Expertise:

·Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and air components used in cranes.

·Perform preventative scheduled maintenance to ensure safe and proper crane operation.

·Propose innovative technical solutions to enhance equipment durability, reliability, productivity, and safety.

Business Development:

·Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for technical enhancements.

Inventory Management:

·Maintain a personal inventory of necessary parts and equipment.

·Ensure all tools and resources are readily available for efficient job execution.

Education & Experience:

·Electromechanical Engineering Technician program or equivalent degree.

·Electrical Licenses such as 442A, Journeyman Electrician, or Red Seal.

·Excellent mechanical and electrical skills.

·Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

·G Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract

·Welding experience is considered an asset.

Skills & Abilities:

·Proficient problem-solving skills for technical issues.

·Strong communication skills to convey problems and solutions to customers.

·Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.

·High degree of initiative and flexibility.

·Ability to work variable hours, overtime, and/or “on-call” as needed.

·Capability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
