Maintenance Supervisor | $95k – $105k P/annum + Bonuses!!

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for a manufacturing plant located Langley. You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manger and managing the maintenance team of 16 people. This company has 5 manufacturing facilities throughout Canada. Manufactures foam, plastics and other products for the food service industry.

This is a full-time morning shift. This is a permanent position with growth opportunities, great bonus, a pension, and great benefits.

Your tasks as a Maintenance Supervisor:

• working with equipment suppliers, mechanical/electrical contractors, engineering consultants and others, to improve production line performance, reduce waste.

• Troubleshooting and PM on heavy industrial machines (foam machines, industrial packaging machines , industrial mixing, molded plastics)

• Leading the maintenance team (16 millwright and electrician)

• Planning and organizing maintenance work with operations and other departments

• Managing and assigning work orders to ensure that necessary maintenance takes place

• Coordinate and plan with other personnel, including planner to schedule and assign the work to the maintenance crew

• Ensuring that all the rules and principles relating to company policies, rules, safety policies, environmental norms, and legal norms are adhered by the employees

• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure that the Company’s equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.

• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work

• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians

• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance

• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment

• Participate in coordination of projects

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

The required qualifications of a Maintenance Supervisor:

•3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a Manufacturing plant

• Must have experience working with equipment suppliers, mechanical/electrical contractors, engineering consultants and others, to improve production line performance, reduce waste.

• Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, millwrights etc.)

• Post-secondary education, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Technology/Engineering or a related field would be an asset

• Healthy and Safety

• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
