We are actively interviewing for an exciting Technical & Plant Director role for a growing manufacturing company in the Innisfil, Ontario area. If you have your B.Sc. in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and your Professional Engineer of Ontario Designation (P. Eng.) experience within the heavy industrial we want to hear from you.

Your tasks as the Technical & Plant Director:

·Responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities in pursuance of business goals. Includes development of policies and procedures designed to increase productivity, assure quality, and mitigate production problems

·For the execution and or assistance of engineering disciplines including supply chain management, planning, quality assurance, manufacturing and repair, and overhaul activities.

·The engineering responsibilities encompass design development, research, and development, and engineering services directly supporting customer contracts for research, in addition to engineering support of manufacturing, advance programs, marketing, and others.

·Bring innovation and new methods.

·Planning for the departments – this includes facility utilization planning, upgrades, changes, etc.

·Staffing – including needs assessments, selection, evaluations, and development.

·Direct production department leaders – includes production, shipping, and maintenance.

·Plant certification – maintain ISO9001 certification.

·Quality assurance – manage the QA program in the plant.

·Other duties assigned

The required qualifications of the Technical & Plant Director:

·B.Sc. in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

·Professional Engineer of Ontario Designation (P. Eng.)

·Strong inventory and production management skills.

·Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal departments.

·Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

·Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.

·Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.

· Flexible with hours.

· Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred, especially from a cement or mining surface plant
