Quality Assurance Manager

Day Shift: 8:30- 4:30pm

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all quality standards and procedures are consistently met, and aligned with company goals, customer specifications, and industry standards. This role involves assisting in the management and implementation of the organization’s quality assurance policies and supporting new product development processes. The QA Manager will establish and maintain procedures and audit controls to meet business requirements effectively.

Skills and Attributes Required

Technical Skills:

·Certificate or Diploma in Quality Assurance or a related discipline.

·Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting.

·Background in Machining/CNC/Foundry is an asset.

·In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems.

·Familiarity with ISO 9001-2015 quality standards, quality assurance terminology, and procedures.

·Proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office and AX Dynamics 2012.

·Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

·Experience in auditing is an asset.

·Internal Auditor certification preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

·Support and adhere to Company Safety and Environmental Practices.

·Ensure adherence to Company Quality Standards.

·Lead quality improvement initiatives for all company products.

·Maintain the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is within its calibration period.

·Support the maintenance of the QA Program, including the ISO Quality Manual, work instructions, and Quality Audit Schedule.

·Create and maintain all quality documentation (e.g., CARs, NCRs).

·Assist with coaching and quality training for production personnel.

·Conduct internal audits for Quality, Environmental, and Safety.

·Participate in Management Review/Update Meetings, focusing on Non-Conformance Status, Corrective Actions, and Internal Audit Findings.

·Manage customer complaints, analyze product conditions, and respond with written findings.

·Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards (e.g., AWWA, ULC, FM, City Specifications).

·Participate in purchasing activities for calibrated instruments.

·Interface with engineers for product testing.

·Manage inventory for returned materials (e.g., RGA).

·Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues.

·Prepare and present quarterly and yearly management reviews.

·Investigate customer complaints, support root cause analysis, and monitor corrective action plans to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented.

Special Requirements:
