As a Regional Nutrition Consultant supporting feedlot herds you’ll deliver expert nutritional guidance, management solutions, and service support to our forward-thinking Feedlot clients. You’ll be responsible for cultivating and managing customer accounts, fostering loyalty through a consultative selling approach, and offering robust technical support to the team.

In this role as a Regional Nutrition Consultant you will:

  • Be an expert in ruminant nutrition, beef management practices, and feedlot operations
  • Show proficiency in forage quality/management and beef growth-enhancing technologies (e.g., implants, feed additives)
  • Have strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage direct accounts effectively
  • Share advanced knowledge of feedlot audits, performance diagnostics, and data analysis
  • Be familiar with industry trends and technologies in beef nutritional research and management
  • Have the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for business growth
  • Showcase strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Have effective verbal communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office and potentially SAS/JMP for strategic analysis
  • Come with a background in the Canadian beef industry, with experience in feedlot and cow/calf operations
  • Have past agricultural sales experience in a large territory.
  • Have working knowledge of the Canadian beef processing industry, a general understanding of meat product slaughtering and processing.
  • Past beef rationing expertise, with the ability to adjust ration recommendations accordingly.
  • Reside within an area allowing easy access to business facilities, beef consultants and customers, Southern Alberta.
  • Come with an ethical and holistic approach to beef nutrition.
  • Carry an agricultural degree, with knowledge of large animal nutrition.
