Our client, a global leader in manufacturing is looking for a Jr Mechanical Engineer for a permanent opportunity based at their Scarborough location. The ideal candidate will have a BA in chemical engineer (Co-op) or 1-2 years on working experience. Your tasks as the Mechanical Engineer

• Perform analysis and property testing of materials and products
• Assist in the design and development of new products as part of the engineering team that translates potential new design elements into workable assembly and electrode process solutions in the test battery plant.
• Design and commission new equipment.
• Troubleshooting, development and optimization of existing equipment/processes

The required qualifications for the Mechanical engineer

·BA in Mechanical Engineering

·Working experience (Either CO-OP or 1-2 years direct)

·Experience within Heavy Manufacturing would be a huge asset

·Ability to be on site 5 days a week

·Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·Ability to clearly explain solutions/ideas to sr.staff/stakeholders
