We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist with 2–3 years of B2B collections experience to join our client for a 6-month temporary assignment in Mississauga. This position is ideal for someone looking to further develop their skills in credit and collections while contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced department.

Your tasks as the Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist:
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including customer collections, cash applications, invoicing, and account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, debit/credit notes, shortages, and return claims efficiently.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including adjustments, accruals, and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns and remittances, and perform other accounting bookkeeping services
- Maintain accurate general ledger, journals, and bank reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records.
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various account portfolios using manual and computerized accounting & ERP systems
- Follow company policies and procedures while performing accounting tasks.
The required qualifications of the Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist:
· 2–3 years of experience in B2B collections, preferably in a corporate or shared services environment.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Strong customer service
· Able to be in the office 5 days a week – no remote option
