What are the Responsibilities?
- Act as a technical liaison and product support expert for a broad range of Canadian and international customers and agents to determine proper applications and engineering specifications to best suit customer needs (essentially acting as an Application Engineer).
- Assist in solving customer technical problems, provide creative/innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with Capital Sales, Services, and Engineering teams as well as Global Product Groups to support process-related aspects of equipment sales, project delivery and services.
- Play a key role in developing, managing, and interpreting laboratory/piloting metallurgical testwork programs; participate in testwork at laboratories and customer sites, as necessary.
- Write and review testwork reporting, sales proposal technical content, business cases and technical whitepapers, collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and project delivery.
- Perform calculations related to equipment sizing and process design in response to commercial bid packages.
- Preparate and review equipment datasheets, control philosophy or any other technical documentation as needed.
- Provide Commissioning, Operation and Optimization support at customer sites around the globe.
- Supervise junior process engineers and/or a co-op student, act as a trainer/leader/coach to ensure junior team members learn effectively and reach maximum potential.
- Direct work activities of junior/intermediate engineers to ensure quality, productivity, and timely completion of tasks.
- Act as a safety leader and foster a positive safety culture within the business and while delivering projects and services to clients.
What are the Requirements
- P. Eng Required! No exceptions, this is a critical requirement.
- Appropriate degree in Engineering coupled with a minimum of 8 years’ of relevant experience, preferably in mineral processing. Due to the highly technical nature of the role, candidates without the mining/mineral processing piece will not be considered.
- Experience in piloting, commissioning, and optimization of flotation equipment is an asset
- Experience supervising small teams and/or mentoring developing technical employees is an asset; must present strong leadership aptitude and skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Well-organized, with keen attention to detail
- Able to meet deadlines, respond quickly to change and adapt to new requirements/dynamic situations
- Excellent communication skills; multilingual candidates (fluent in English) are encouraged to apply!

- MUST BE COMFORTABLE TRAVELLING 25-50% OF THE YEAR
