Facilities Maintenance – Outdoor
Job Summary:
The Outside Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for the upkeep and repair of facility grounds and outdoor equipment to maintain a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This includes performing seasonal tasks, inspections, and minor repairs, as well as collaborating with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.

The Role
·Perform seasonal property care (e.g., snow removal, landscaping, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance standards are met year-round.
· Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment, recommending repairs and upgrades as needed.
· Document all inspections and perform preventative maintenance on outdoor machinery and facility grounds.
· Safely operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including tractors, skid steers, backhoes, and plows, as required.
· Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure all receiving documentation is appropriately processed.
· Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to extend their lifespan and reliability.
· Handle basic repair tasks, assist team members with maintenance needs, and oversee contractors as required to ensure high-quality workmanship.
· Ensure all tasks are performed safely, adhering to company safety policies and standards for waste reduction, quality, and timely completion.
· Support continuous improvement efforts across the facility by identifying areas for enhancement and proposing solutions to the Team Lead.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from debris, throughout tasks and at the end of each shift.
· Provide support to other maintenance team members as needed across the facility.
Qualification & Experience
· Valid G driver’s license
· DZ/AZ license is an asset. (Or proven ability utilizing heavy machinery)
· Proficient with heavy outdoor equipment (e.g., tractors, backhoes, plows, skid steers) and motorized tools (e.g., pumps, chainsaws, wood chippers).
· Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting abilities. Experience with hand and power tools and a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is preferred.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and endure prolonged standing, walking, and physically demanding tasks.
· Able to respond swiftly to changing conditions and work independently or as part of a team.
