Job Title: Shipping Supervisor
Summary Supervises and works alongside shipping and bagging team ensure all scheduled shipments and raw materials get loaded and unloaded in a timely and safe manner as per company procedures and policies. Work closely with the logistics team to ensure all orders meet scheduled timeline.

Job Responsibilities:
- Keep track of shipping schedule by referring to internal system and with ongoing communication with the logistics department.
- Working with the quality lab to ensure all samples are collected, and all material shipped to customers has QA approval, and in compliance with company ISO policies.
- Set up shunts to and from offsite warehouse as needed.
- Work with the production team to monitor silo levels and keep on top of the customer needs.
- Loads finished product from silos into bulk tankers.
- Packages product into bags as required. Uses automated bagging system inside or outside of plant to fill super sacs with product.
- Uses 55L bagger inside plant to fill paper 55L bags and stack on skids.
- Completes all required paperwork and labelling for shipment of product, as ensures all shift reports are completed in a timely fashion.
- Stages product prior to shipment, ensures quality approval prior to shipment, loads trucks and trailers based upon experience and approved loading plans.
- Properly packages all material in correct bag, to the correct weight.
- Operates industrial lift trucks, dock loading platform and automatic stretch wrapper.
- Ensures material handling equipment is properly inspected prior to use and is fuelled and/or charged.
- Training and developing new hires and existing employees as needed.
- Performs other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking as required.
- Performs general manual labour tasks as required.
- Identifies the need for repairs or other attention by a Mechanic or Electrician. May be called upon to assist the Mechanic or Electrician as necessary.
- Records all statistics as required.
- Performs clean up duties at the end of each shift.
- Provides a courteous, customer service response and attitude to all internal and external relationships.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma.
- Two to three years experience in supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand procedures.
- WHMIS training.
- Forklift Licence
- – Two years experience with loading/unloading trailers
- – Proficient in Microsoft office.
SHIFT PATTERN & SALARY
- 7am/8am – 4pm/5pm
- $25-32 per hour.
