Job Title: Plant Operations – Plant Worker

Job Type: Contract – Full-Time, Monday-Friday 11:00am – 7:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
- Stage waste on the conveyor system or stack waste for scanning into the Biotrack system.
- Accurately scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping.
- Load waste into autoclave bins or the incinerator hopper for processing.
- Place reusable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.
- Operate and inspect the tub wash unit and sprayer, ensuring all cleaned tubs are ready for reuse.
- Decontaminate the cargo-carrying portion of vehicles, ensuring cleanliness and absence of liquid spills.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by addressing spills and debris promptly.
- Support additional plant operations and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience or training, or a combination of both.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and barcode scanning skills.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA regulations is an asset.
- Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Capable of pushing/pulling carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
- Frequent walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
