The Parts Manager will be responsible for:
- Supervising all aspects of physical inventory management, shipping and receiving, and parts counter sales.
- Overseeing all aspects of the parts department & personnel (3 direct reports)
- Managing parts inventory, ensuring effective inventory levels, ordering parts as necessary
- Assisting customers with parts requirements, sourcing parts as necessary
- Determining cost effective parts sources, assessing vendors, maintaining relationships
- Leading direct reports in day to day parts & warehouse operations
- Collaborating with service to ensure customer needs are met effectively
- Working with senior management to improve and build out the parts program
- Shipping, receiving, and warehouse support as necessary
The required qualifications of the Part Manager are:
- 5+ years of relevant parts experience within the equipment space or similar
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preference for individuals who have previously implemented a parts/inventory management system or similar
- Ability to work on site in Abbotsford Monday – Friday
- Understanding of inventory management, ability to source, acquire and stock parts and equipment
- Ability to maintain our parts database, parts pricing and costs, produce estimates and quotes
- Proactive approach to parts sourcing, stocking/restocking
- Previous experience in a warehousing environment desirable, not required
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to manage a variety of activities simultaneously, good judgment,
- flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external
- Ability/desire to foster a high performance team environment through delegation, collaboration, achievement, and teamwork
