Your tasks as the Outside Technical Sales Representative:

  • Technical Sales Representative is responsible for proactively expanding the brand within the existing customer’s base and with new prospects in your assigned sales territory within Quebec
  • Meeting or exceeding annual sales and profit margin goals, and working towards all customers being repeat customers
  • Input orders and follow through to shipping and all aspects of customer service
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Perform and achieve all essential duties and responsibilities while working from locations both proximate and remote from home office
  • Travel within assigned territory (50%) as well as other possible periodic domestic and international travels for meetings and training as required.·
  • Develop and present proposals for specific customer applications and requirements; respond to requests for industry and application-specific solutions
  • Collaborate with company to fully determine and understand customer requirements and to provide technical sales support for company’s products and services
  • Other duties assigned

The required qualifications of the Outside Technical Sales Representative:

  • Engineering Education with 2–3 years’ experience in B2B sales or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate independently and remotely
  • Must have minimum 2-3 years of in-depth technical knowledge, automation experience
  • Proven ability to close sales and reach sales targets
  • Outside sales experience
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and networking skills.
  • Analytical and structured thinking with a creative ability to work toward targets and identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the aptitude to identify and recommend appropriate solutions for customer needs.
  • Ability to understand customer and market requirements
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Lotus Note etc.)
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted drivers license
  • Have a valid passport and able to travel within assigned territory (50%) as well as other possible periodic domestic and international travels for meetings and training as required.
