Compensation: $20–$25/hour
Schedule: Full-time

Overview:
We are working with a highly reputable precision manufacturing company in Ottawa that specializes in tight-tolerance, high-quality components across advanced industries. They are looking to bring on a Junior Machinist who is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced CNC equipment and work alongside a highly skilled team.

Assist with the setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes

Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to support production

Measure and inspect parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Perform basic edits and offsets under supervision

Support tool changes, machine adjustments, and preventative maintenance

Ensure all parts meet strict quality and tolerance standards

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Collaborate with senior machinists and production team to meet deadlines

0–3 years of machining experience or relevant technical education

Basic understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Eagerness to learn and grow within a machining environment

Good communication and teamwork skills
