CNC Field Service Technician

We are seeking coachable individuals with a great attitude and great customer service to join our Mississauga, ON team as CNC Field Service Technicians. Field Service Technicians provide customers with installation, maintenance, and repair assistance of CNC machinery (Milling, Lath) and automation systems on site. They establish and build exemplary communication and customer service relationships with customers and distributors. The individual manages difficult customer situations in a positive manner, responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve service.

Job Duties: CNC Field Service Technician

  • Install, Repairing and commission new & used CNC machinery (Milling, Lath)
  • Work alongside or assist with Team & contractors when needed.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Gear Box & Bearings of all CNC equipment
  • Perform basic electrical Trouble shooting

Skills & Qualifications: CNC Field Service Technician

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Developing/improving upon inventory management procedures
  • Knowledge of any CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Siemens)
  • Knowledge or experience maintaining fully automated equipment.
  • Background in PLC and computer controls Excellent troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to take logical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to use technical manuals and read blueprints (Mechanical & electrical Drawing)
  • Ability to use High Precision tools (Caliper, Vernier, Precision level, depth gauge…)
  • Ability to work in a team environment effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Plan and assist in the implementation of a rigorous, preventative maintenance program as well as a predictive maintenance program to minimize machines downtime.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel Word …)
  • Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis
  • Must be willing to work outside of regular business hours and perform on call support as required.
  • Knowledge in workplace safety and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety standards in accordance with current legislation and Active Health and Safety Policy

Work Environment: CNC Field Service Technician

  • 8-hour work schedule with overtime as necessary. Frequent: standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting heavy parts, pushing, and pulling, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.
