Job Title: CMT Technician

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced CMT Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the Canadian Forces CC130J aircraft. In this role, you'll apply your trade expertise to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance with military and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications in accordance with the customer’s check package, Transport Canada regulations (CARS), the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), and all applicable internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all associated documentation and reporting.
- Guarantee aircraft are returned in safe and serviceable condition by adhering strictly to all relevant manuals and standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and technical leadership to junior technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to standard.
- Uphold company values, a strong safety culture, and professional conduct at all times.
- Carry out additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
- Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance across Mechanics, Avionics, Structures, or Composites.
- Familiarity with and commitment to maintaining high Quality Control standards.
- Strong understanding and implementation of safe work practices.
- Proven leadership ability, including coaching, setting work standards, and motivating team members.
- Capable of managing workflows and labor hours to optimize productivity.
- Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCCA) or equivalent military course(s).
- Minimum 48 months of experience performing trade-related duties.
- Holder of a valid Transport Canada AME license or DND-equivalent certification/authorization.
- Prior experience on CC130 B-H & J aircraft within a military or DND context is a strong asset.
- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain Controlled Goods Program Clearance and Secret Security Clearance.
