π Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their growing team! In this role, you will manage the full cycle of accounting activities, including preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices and experience working with both small and large clients.
π Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee all aspects of the accounting process, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll. π
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for a variety of clients. π
- Client Interaction: Serve as a primary contact for clients, addressing their accounting needs, inquiries, and providing insights to help them make informed financial decisions. π¬π€
- Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards, maintaining high accuracy in all financial records and reports. π
- Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to deliver comprehensive accounting services and contribute to a supportive team environment. π€
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with accounting best practices, tax regulations, and industry trends to enhance service delivery. ππ
π Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a full-cycle accountant or in a similar role, ideally within an accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with experience in financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. π»
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting client relationships. π£οΈβ€οΈ
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual: English and French.
