Production Supervisor, Industrial Manufacturing | Windsor (Tecumseh) | 7.30am – 4.30pm
$33 – $38/hr
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary in skilled trades, engineering, or related field preferred
- Trade certification considered an asset; OHSA knowledge required
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in heavy industrial or automotive manufacturing only (food industry not applicable)
- Hands-on, collaborative, team-focused management style
- Citizenship or PR or Open work permit valid for another year
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Manual & CNC machining knowledge
- Machine building practices
- Hydraulic press & stamping equipment knowledge
- Blueprint reading / basic AutoCAD
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication systems understanding
- Maintenance and production supervision experience
- Forklift & overhead crane operation (or willingness to be trained)
RESPONSABILITIES
· Supervise production employees and oversee daily shop floor operations while supporting hands-on production activities as required.
· Ensure staff have the necessary tools, materials, and resources to complete work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
· Support achievement of customer requirements, quality standards, and on-time delivery goals.
· Work with Executive, Engineering, and management teams to review project status and resolve production issues.
· Develop, improve, and monitor product and process quality standards in collaboration with the Quality Engineer.
· Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes and workflows.
· Support HR in coordinating training programs for apprentices and new employees.
· Communicate manpower requirements, scheduling needs, overtime, and shift coverage with HR and Project Managers.
· Ensure all workplace incidents and accidents are properly reported, investigated, and documented according to company procedures and HR requirements.
· Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and disciplinary processes as required.
· Monitor employee performance and support productivity, efficiency, and quality expectations.
· Maintain and enforce product and process quality standards for finished goods and sub-assemblies.
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of production and performance reports.
· Recommend and support maintenance, upgrades, and improvements to equipment and facility processes.
· Enforce all health and safety policies in accordance with company manuals, the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, and internal policies.
· Manage time effectively, maintain strong internal and external relationships, and demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and accountability.
DETAILS
- Reporting Manager: Executive
- DAY: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
- EVENING: As required by production/projects
- NIGHT: As required by production/projects
- OVERTIME: Paid
