What are the Responsibilities?
As a Journeyman Pipefitter, your day-to-day impact will include:
- Performing a wide range of pipefitting tasks including installing, refitting, and repairing sulphur dioxide and chlorine systems, and other piping systems throughout the facility.
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and installing pipes made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, PVC, and more—then testing your work to ensure flawless performance.
- Troubleshooting piping systems to diagnose wear, corrosion, and operational issues.
- Leading and guiding assigned helpers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Planning methods and procedures based on project requirements and best practices.
- Following strict safety procedures and maintaining a safe workspace at all times.
What You Bring?
- Grade 12 education plus a Red Seal or Trades Qualification certificate (highly desirable, will consider candidates with journeyman/provincial trades qualifications as well)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.
- Experience working in industrial or wastewater environments (comfortable in enclosed or dirty areas).
- Your own set of hand tools.
- A valid BC Driver’s Licence
- Ability & desire to obtain a Watershed Entry Health Certificate.
