About the Role
We are seeking a Bilingual Technical Trainer (English/French) with strong hands-on experience in cranes, hoists, or industrial lifting systems.
This is a specialized role where you will transition from field service into a training and development position, delivering technical instruction to technicians in both classroom and hands-on lab environments.
You will play a key role in building technical capability across a large, established organization and act as a go-to technical resource for field teams.
What You’ll Do
Deliver technical training sessions in classroom and workshop environments
Train technicians on industrial cranes, hoists, and lifting systems
Develop and update training materials and learning paths
Evaluate technician performance through tests, quizzes, and practical assessments
Support continuous improvement of technical training programs
Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians
Report on technician skill levels and training needs
Perform additional training and administrative duties as required
What We’re Looking For (Must-Have Experience)
3+ years experience as a service technician or mechanic in crane, hoist, or industrial lifting systems
Strong understanding of industrial electricity and mechanical systems
Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Fluent in English and French (spoken and written – required)
Trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent field experience in an industrial discipline
Comfortable using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required
Strong Assets
Previous experience in training, coaching, or mentoring technicians
Background in field service with customer-facing technical support
Exposure to structured technical training environments or curriculum development
