Chef de Cuisine

Job Summary:
As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu development to staff management and quality control. In this senior-level role, you will work closely with the executive team to drive culinary innovation, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes that delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and refine the restaurant's menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
– Manage and lead a team of skilled culinary professionals, including chefs, line cooks, and prep staff
– Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
– Monitor kitchen operations, inventory, and budgets to optimize efficiency and profitability
– Collaborate with the management team on strategic planning and decision-making
– Provide hands-on training and mentorship to culinary staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a  fast-paced restaurant environment
– Proven track record of assisting in the development of successful menus and driving culinary innovation
– Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
– Experienced in cost control, inventory management, and budgeting
– Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control measures
Working Conditions:
The Chef de Cuisine role is fast-paced and demanding, with long hours and physical requirements, such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy equipment and supplies, and working in a hot, noisy kitchen environment. A high level of stamina and resilience is essential for success in this position.
