Industrial Sewer / Sewing Machine Operator

Fuze HR Solutions is currently hiring for an Industrial Sewer / Sewing Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing company in the Barrie, ON area. We are highly interested in speaking with applicants that have any Sewing experience in general, whether you have experience as an Industrial Sewer, experience from out of country/back home, or even experience sewing as a hobby we want to hear from you!

As the Industrial Sewer you will be responsible for the following main duties…

• Review work orders to determine specifications for product to be sewn
• Setup and operate single needle and double needle sewing machine according to work order specifications
  • Change needles, thread, etc
• Sew materials together and inspect finished product to ensure it meets specifications
• Repair returned products from customers as per spec
• Work in a team setting as well as independently
• Other duties as required

What are we looking for in an ideal Industrial Sewer / Sewing Machine Operator?

• Capable of setting up and operating industrial sewing machinery
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of reading specification sheets and work orders in order to meet client product specifications
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Manual dexterity/hand eye coordination
