Job Title Warehouse Worker / Warehouse Specialist
Location Richmond, BC
Salary $25/hour (flexible depending on experience)
Schedule
Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may vary with occasional early starts around 7:30 AM)
- Occasional overtime as required
- Occasional Saturday shifts during peak periods (paid overtime)
- Seasonal workload fluctuations (busier periods in spring/summer and fall; slower in mid-winter)
Responsibilities
- Unload and load containers and trailers (majority performed using forklift equipment)
- Operate forklifts (stand-up, reach truck, and other warehouse equipment where applicable)
- Receive incoming inventory and place stock in designated warehouse locations
- Pick, verify, and prepare outbound orders
- Label pallets and prepare shipments for dispatch
- Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Communicate with drivers or external partners when required (no customer-facing role)
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume warehouse environment preferred
- Valid forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain; experience operating forklifts is an asset)
- Comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly)
- Experience with RF scanning devices considered an asset
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to perform inventory counts and basic numerical tasks
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Must have valid work authorization (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
Additional Notes
- Training provided for candidates with limited forklift experience, though heavy lifting will be required initially
- Safety equipment (steel-toe boots required)
- Clean, well-maintained warehouse environment
