What are the Responsibilities?

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and effective maintenance on a broad range of heavy trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues; including engines, transmissions, and braking systems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques as well as traditional/manual methods
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs accordingly to ensure the safety and reliability of trucks, including engine overhauls, brake adjustments, and suspension repairs
• Replace faulty components/parts as necessary to maintain functionality and performance
• Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and deliver exceptional customer service to fleet managers, drivers, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with Shop Foreman and Service Advisors to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
• Other duties as required to support safe, efficient shop & service operations

What are the Requirements?

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Trade Qualification – truck/trailer preferred or Heavy Equipment with appropriate truck experience, will consider late-stage apprentices
• Minimum 2 years of relevant HD shop/service experience maintaining heavy trucks & trailers
• Process, service-oriented Candidates with dealership experience strongly preferred
• BC Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)
• Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
• Must be mechanically inclined, with strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment
• CVIP highly desirable, but will consider candidates without
• Preference for individuals with formal training/certifications in Daimler, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, etc.
