Due to continued growth, we are hiring Service & Installation Technicians to support installation, service, and maintenance operations across the Durham region

  • Standard hours:
    • Mon–Thurs: 7:00am–4:00pm
    • Fri: 7:00am–3:00pm
    • 44 hours/week + OT after 44
What You’ll Do: Service & Installation Technician
As a Service & Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining industrial door and dock systems while working independently or as part of a field team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and repair industrial door and dock equipment including sectional doors, rolling doors, dock levelers, fire doors (including drop testing), impact doors, and vehicle restraints.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues in the field.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls as required.
  • Complete accurate service reports, time tracking, and job documentation.
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and job-site organization.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Follow and uphold all safety standards, procedures, and policies.
This role includes a mix of local and occasional out-of-town work (including northern or remote areas). All travel expenses, LOA, and hotel accommodations are covered. Overtime opportunities are available, including a $2.00/hr premium during remote assignments.
What You Bring: Service & Installation Technician
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing industrial door and dock systems (rolling, sectional, high-speed, or similar).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Welding and/or electrical experience is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; willingness to travel when required.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
