Senior Consultant – NSPB

Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Consultant to join an EPM-focused team and step into multiple NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) projects immediately. There’s an urgent delivery gap due to a recent departure, so this person needs to ramp up fast, take ownership, and drive outcomes with minimal oversight. You’ll start on 2–3 client projects right away, each at a different stage.

What you’ll work on
Most projects are early-stage (requirements gathering → solution design → build), and one project is already in progress. For the in-flight work, you’ll review existing documentation, assess what’s been built, and continue execution without losing momentum. This role is heavy on custom solutioning—approximately 70% custom build—so comfort with complex design decisions and tailored implementations is essential.

Key responsibilities
• Lead full-cycle NSPB implementations from discovery and requirements through design, build, testing, deployment, and support
• Own solution architecture and design for custom builds, including model design, planning structures, security, and performance considerations
• Translate business and finance requirements into scalable planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions
• Build and configure NSPB components (forms, dashboards, reports, rules, dimensions, workflows) and guide best practices
• Review and take over existing project documentation and configurations; identify risks, gaps, and next steps quickly
• Support EPM reporting/analytics needs using tools such as NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) and NetSuite Analytics Reporting (NSAR) where applicable
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams and stakeholders; participate in client meetings when needed
• Deliver high-quality work with strong documentation and clear communication, without repeated follow-ups

Must-have qualifications
• Proven end-to-end NSPB implementation experience (from requirements → design → build → deploy/support)
• Strong blend of functional and technical capability (comfortable designing and building, not just advising)
• 6–7+ years of hands-on solution design / architecture experience, including custom build leadership
• Ability to ramp up fast, operate autonomously, and take full ownership of deliverables
• Strong communication skills with the ability to be responsive for occasional client meetings (limited client-facing overall)
• Experience working in a consulting or independent/freelance setup

Nice-to-have / bonus experience
• Hyperion and/or Oracle PBCS experience
• Exposure to NSAW and/or NSAR in EPM reporting contexts
• Industry experience in Construction and/or Transportation/Logistics (Advertising/Media is also relevant)

Contract details
• Fully remote
• Current commitment: a little over 800 hours total (~150 hours/month estimated)
• Expected duration: ~4 months (with potential for extension/additional hours as new work is signed)
• Preference for true independent/freelance consultants (not someone leaving a permanent role specifically for this contract)
• Flexibility is important: work is mostly not client-facing, but availability is required when meetings come up
