Safety Specialist | $33/hour

We are searching for a Safety Specialist for our client, a reputable manufacturing company in Delta, BC. This position is a full-time Monday to Friday position and will start as a temp/contract with a high chance (based on performance) of turning into a permanent role.

This person will be involved with:
• Safety inspections
• Control of safety and environmental audits and documentation
• Enforcing and ensuring safety standards and compliance are met
• Safety meetings and training
• Control and organization of documentation
• Placement of orders for raw materials (all vendors are set, so no pricing negotiation involved)
• Control of raw materials inventory

This person should have:
• Experience with safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid safety certifications
• Clerical/administration experience
• Technology savvy – Microsoft programs
• Great attention to detail and organization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must
• Purchasing background would be great but not mandatory
• Background in business acumen would be great but not mandatory.

• Pay rate of $31-33/hour (possible wiggle room) depending on experience, knowledge, education and specific certifications
• Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week – 6:30am-3pm shift
• This is not a remote position
• Expected start date – March 16 or March 23
• Reminder – this will start off as a temp/contract position – there will be no benefits until/unless hired on directly by Atlas Roofing
