Position Title: Regional Sales Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager for our client, a highly respected loading dock engineering and sales company. This role will be responsible for leading sales efforts across Canada, driving strategic growth, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent, building a high-performing sales team.
  • Empower and motivate employees by promoting autonomy, accountability, and clear goal-setting.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, cross-training, and professional development initiatives.

Strategic Sales Management:

  • Develop and execute annual business plans, sales goals, and budgets to drive growth.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted sales campaigns.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the preparation of preliminary quotes, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Work closely with installation and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and resolve quality concerns.

Customer & Market Focus:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Act as a liaison for key accounts, supporting collections and resolving quality or service issues.
  • Expand market share by driving sales of existing products and identifying opportunities for new offerings.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Champion a “safety-first” culture by overseeing training, inspections, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management within a service or engineering environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and direct industry experience.
  • Must reside in Southern Ontario.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in report writing and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Diploma or equivalent in Business Management or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment (combination of home and office).
  • Travel required across Canada (1–2 times per month) and internationally (1–2 times per year).
  • Regular use of computers and office equipment.
