We are searching for an experienced Red Seal Millwright for a our client who are a reputable manufacturer in the packaging industry. Their plant is located in Richmond, BC.
We are conducting immediate interviews for a start date in April.
Job duties:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Assist with building and enhancing the preventative maintenance program
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including involvement with PLCs
- Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and part plans
- Install, relocate, and modify machinery as operational needs evolve
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and compliance standards
- Keep detailed maintenance records using the CMMS system
- Proactively develop your skills with ongoing training opportunities
Requirements:
- Red Seal Millwright Ticket is ideal, but we will also consider individuals presenting Tool & Die Maker, Machine Tool Builder, or Industrial Mechanic qualifications if they present strong, relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
- 5+ years of post qualification experience ideal, candidates presenting less experience, but strong technical skills, are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of mechanics, machining (lathe & mill), basic welding (ARC, TIG, MIG), and basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask
- PLC familiarity (Siemens S5/S7, Allen Bradley SLC 500, MicroLogix, etc.)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies
Details:
- Base wage between $41 – 44/hour, with premiums available for off shifts

Shifts:
Two fixed schedule options (no rotation):
- Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (with $1.50/hr shift premium)
