Position Details:

- Salary: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high product standards by conducting a variety of tests on production samples to ensure product safety and quality. This is a self-directed role with minimal supervision and will involve collaborating with other members of the Quality Assurance team.
This is a part-time position to start, with hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The plan is to transition the position into a full-time role if the candidate proves to be a good fit. The schedule may change, and we are awaiting confirmation of the details.
The pay rate for this position is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Laboratory Testing:
- Perform standard physical and microbiological tests on finished products.
- Maintain accurate records and properly enter data from testing.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare materials for routine testing.
- Follow safety guidelines and industry regulations such as GMPs/GLPs.
- Calibrate and operate testing instruments safely and accurately.
- Keep the laboratory clean and organized.
- Production Support:
- Contribute to quality control and process-related projects.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Additional Duties:
- Flexibility to work beyond regular hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the quality team.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, or relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
- College Certificate in Chemical, Biochemical, or Chemical Engineering Technology is a plus.
- Experience:
- Up to 2 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing or educational environment is required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with specialized lab equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to maintain proper documentation.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination.
- The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, with a moderate noise level. Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
