Plant Worker

Duration: 3 months (contract)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (possible weekends)
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Plant Worker to support daily plant operations by unloading, handling, scanning, and processing waste materials. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient operations while following all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload waste from incoming vehicles
- Separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration
- Stage waste on conveyor systems or stack waste for scanning
- Scan waste into the Biotrack system for accurate recordkeeping
- Load waste into autoclave bins or incinerator hoppers for processing
- Place reusable containers on wash lines for decontamination
- Operate tub wash units and sprayers; inspect and stack clean tubs for reuse
- Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas and reload reusable tubs
- Ensure no free liquid remains in vehicle cargo areas before release
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas (spills, debris, dry floors)
- Assist in other areas of the plant as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year of related experience or training
- Ability to perform physical work: lifting up to 55 lbs, walking, bending, pushing
- Basic computer skills and barcode scanning experience
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety
