People & Culture Coordinator

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established and growing organization within the manufacturing space, known for its people-first culture and strong sense of community. They are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to support the full employee experience — from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, development, and recognition.

This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building relationships, and wants to make a tangible impact on workplace culture.
What You’ll Be Doing

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offer letters
  • Coordinate onboarding programs to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for new hires
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employment records
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthen company culture
  • Coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and team-building activities
  • Collect and help analyze employee feedback through surveys and engagement tools
HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with Canadian employment legislation
  • Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and administration of employee perks and programs
  • Prepare employment verification letters and standard HR documentation
  • Support policy communication and adherence across the organization
Learning & Development
  • Assist with coordinating training programs and development initiatives
  • Track employee development plans and learning progress
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within People & Culture
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Bring

Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in HR, People & Culture, or a related role
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices
About You

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys supporting others and creating positive experiences at work. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You communicate with ease, build trust quickly, and take pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, People & Culture, or a related role
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A solid understanding of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce), PowerPoint, and Canva is an asset
