Experienced Millwright – Heavy Manufacturing
Location: Scarborough, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
We are seeking a skilled Millwright with a strong background in heavy industry maintenance and machinery repair. This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive pay, benefits, and room for growth in a safety-focused, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to upskill operators and reduce downtime
  • Perform daily 5S activities and participate in Daily Management System (DMS) huddles
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses prior to maintenance tasks
  • Perform hoisting, rigging, and a range of maintenance functions, from minor repairs to complex equipment rebuilds
  • Train operators on Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT) activities, and equipment principles
  • Collaborate with operators to identify and resolve equipment and safety issues
  • Conduct breakdown analysis and root cause failure investigations
  • Prepare precision maintenance procedures for PMs and PdMs
  • Proactively identify, maintain, and repair equipment issues
  • Support continuous process manufacturing operations
Qualifications:
  • Completion of apprenticeship and Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright license required (433A license a plus)
  • Minimum 3–5 years post-licensing experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial environments (paper, pulp, metal/steel/aluminum, or other heavy industries)
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, heavy equipment, and large pumps
  • Fabrication and welding experience for machinery repair
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safe work practices (lockout/tagout, fall protection, hazard assessments)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel); SAP experience an asset
  • Flexible with shift schedules and start times
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
