We are hiring a Millwright for a large and well-known food manufacturing company in Calgary.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure peak performance and reduce downtime. You’ll be a key contributor to keeping operations running smoothly and helping consistently deliver high-quality goods to customers.

What you’ll do as a Millwright:
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints to guide installation and repairs.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems.
  • Inspect, repair, and assemble equipment using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as lathes, mills, and welders.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations, and perform additional duties as needed.
What you’ll bring as a Millwright:
  • Red Seal or Journeyperson Millwright certification required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills with experience using lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG).
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance programs and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Team player with a continuous improvement mindset and collaborative attitude.
