We are actively seeking an experienced and people-first Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing team in a 24/7 production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a solid technical background and a proven ability to manage and elevate a maintenance department.
This position requires strong expertise in PLC/Automation, the ability to set clear expectations, and the leadership to reshape a team’s culture and performance from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a cross-functional maintenance team (Millwrights, Electricians, Technicians)
- Enforce accountability, performance standards, and structured shift schedules across the team
- Plan, schedule, and oversee complex repair and maintenance tasks in coordination with production operations
- Build a culture of continuous improvement and strategic skills development
- Identify skills gaps and create clear strategies for talent attraction and retention
- Ensure full compliance with all preventative maintenance programs, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Analyze equipment reliability trends and implement corrective actions
- Maintain oversight of maintenance inventory, asset documentation, and work orders
- Oversee third-party contractors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective delivery
- Communicate performance updates effectively across departments and stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or relevant field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 10+ years in industrial maintenance, with at least 4 years using a CMMS
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, PLCs, automation, and electrical systems
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical schematics
- Deep understanding of modern maintenance and reliability practices
Leadership Qualities:
- Confident, decisive, and assertive leadership style
- Skilled in managing challenging team dynamics and elevating performance standards
- Ability to professionally challenge and redirect high-skill personnel when needed
- Strategic thinker with a vision for team development and continuous improvement
