Job Title: Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting

Support accounts receivable (AR) functions: invoicing, collections, and maintaining accurate customer records in Sage 300
-
Provide backup support for accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing and intercompany invoicing

Assist with fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules

Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting controls
-
Respond to operational requests by collaborating with branch administrators and sales representatives

Prepare on-demand reports and supporting documentation

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team activities

Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

2–4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including 1–2 years in AR
-
Post-secondary education in accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
-
Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software preferred
-
Knowledge of internal controls and the ability to ensure compliance

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or service industry accounting is a plus

Ability to work independently, manage volume, and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions

Hybrid schedule: primarily remote after initial training, once-a-week in-office on Wednesdays

Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if needed
