Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: South Simcoe Region, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time, Field-Based

$40-$50/hour (depending on experience)

We are partnering with a respected construction organization specializing in civil infrastructure, earthworks, and site development projects.

This opportunity is best suited for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator who takes pride in precision work, safety performance, and high-quality machine operation.

This is not an entry-level equipment role.

We are looking for operators who are confident working independently, understand construction site expectations, and deliver consistent production quality.

Operate heavy civil construction equipment safely and efficiently

Perform earthmoving, grading, and site preparation work

Follow project plans, grade specifications, and site instructions

Support project timelines through productive machine operation

Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns

Maintain high safety and quality standards on site

Work collaboratively with supervisors and field teams

Candidates should have strong experience operating civil construction equipment such as:

-Dozers

-Excavators

-Loaders

-Other earthmoving machinery

Experience operating machines such as a Caterpillar D6 Dozer or similar equipment is considered a strong asset.

Experience with GPS-guided machine control systems is preferred.

-Precision grading using GPS technology

-Working with digital site layout and elevation targets

-Operating modern construction equipment with integrated machine control

5+ years of civil construction equipment operation experience
Strong understanding of earthworks and site development projects
Safety-focused mindset and professional work ethic
Ability to perform precision machine work
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience working in outdoor construction environments

GPS machine control experience

Municipal, commercial, or infrastructure project exposure

Experience working with modern civil construction fleets

Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
