Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and drive safety programs across six Canadian facilities. Reporting to the Senior Director of HR, this individual will be responsible for managing one direct report and ensuring all safety policies, procedures, and compliance measures are implemented effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or logistics environments and be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including US-based corporate safety directors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee health & safety programs across six facilities.
  • Lead incident investigations, case management, and regulatory reporting (including WSIB forms and tribunals).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with provincial and federal safety regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with operational teams, ensuring safety best practices are integrated into daily workflows.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to corporate leadership on safety performance, KPIs, and improvement plans.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to the EHS Coordinator and site teams.
  • Be available for on-call support for incidents, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of health & safety experience in manufacturing, logistics, automotive, packaging, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and operational hazards, including forklift, conveyor, pedestrian, and machine safety.
  • Proven experience managing safety compliance and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple facilities effectively.
  • Local to the Brampton/Greater Toronto Area for quick response to site incidents.
  • Certifications: Not mandatory (CSP not required), but training and professional development support is available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 CAD (firm)
  • Profit-sharing / success-sharing program

  • Training reimbursement up to $5,250/year
Work Hours & Travel:
  • Standard hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • On-call frequently due to shift operations (evenings/weekends)
  • Travel between six facilities ; mileage reimbursed
