About the Role
Aramark Canada is seeking a Food Prep Worker to join our team.
The Food Prep Worker is responsible for preparing and portioning food items, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring that all meals meet production requirements and company sanitation standards.
You’ll play a key role in supporting daily meal service and ensuring a safe, high-quality dining experience for residents and guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and label food items according to production needs and standardized recipes.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace.
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties as needed.
- Support the kitchen team in meeting service timelines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation or kitchen support (dishwashing, prep work, etc.).
- Knowledge of proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math to follow recipes and portion guidelines.
- Food Safety Certificate preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
