We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join a dynamic team. You will support capital expenditures, fixed assets, and project analysis, while handling transactional processing, month-end tasks, and account reconciliation. Ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and team to ensure smooth operations within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate accounting for all capital and intangible asset transactions in the General Ledger
• Manage capital and lease approvals and coordinate related reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
• Support departments with the correct accounting treatment of capital projects
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and assist with audit preparation
• Prepare journal entries as required for assigned functions

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance (CGA or CPA preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP
• Experience managing a large portfolio of fixed assets and lease accounting (IFRS 16)
• Familiarity with a SOX-compliant environment
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, AS400, Tableau, Hyperion, and Oracle ERP is a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in both French and English is a plus
