About the Role
The Financial Analyst will support month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting for a portfolio of clients. Reporting to a senior finance leader, this role provides hands-on exposure across accounting, analytics, and operational finance.,
This hybrid role is based in Markham, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities including account reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis
- Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to explain results and trends
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and client reporting
- Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and invoicing processes
- Maintain and enhance Excel-based financial models and spreadsheets
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and accounting tasks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage X3)
- Exposure to trade management systems
- Background in CPG, food manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments preferred
