We are currently searching for an experienced and skilled Field Service Technician who has a good mix of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Our client provides innovative, end-to-end fleet management solutions for both motorized and non-motorized equipment across the transportation industry, including airports, airlines, seaports, railways, and logistics.

- $37-40/hour depending on experience (possible wiggle room for the right candidate)

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation of on-site systems such as Support Equipment (GSE), Vehicles, Heavy and industrial equipment.
Tasks Include:
- Connect multiple types of electrical cables (12V/24V power, CAN bus, Ethernet, serial, sensor wires, antenna leads)
- Follow wiring diagrams and color codes
- Strip, crimp, terminate, solder, and connect cables using proper connectors/terminals
- Installing wiring harnesses
- Route pre-bundled wiring harnesses through vehicles/equipment safely
- Secure harnesses to prevent rubbing, pinching, or damage
- Connect harnesses to plugs, terminals, or device ports correctly
- Mechanically Securing Telematics Devices / Antennas
- Mount devices and antennas securely using hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, rivet guns, torque tools)
- Ensure mounts are vibration-resistant, weatherproof, and accessible for maintenance
- Plan and route cables from power sources and sensors to devices
- Test installations for power, communication, and data functionality
- Document installations: serial numbers, device location, and test results
- Collaborating with US and European teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, Technical Support
Skills & Experience Required:
- At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Technician with good electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Basic experience and knowledge of electronics is a must have
- Relevant experience in environments such as Logistics, Railroads, Equipment manufacturing, Military or similar technical fields is considered an asset
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics
- Proficiency with electrical measuring devices (e.g., multimeter)
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Comfortable using computers and common tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with customers
- Ability to work remotely with a European-based company, including managing time zone differences
