We are currently searching for a Field Project Manager for a smart-grid technology company. As a key member of the Customer Operations team, the Field Project Manager will report to the Manager of Project Management and play a critical role in overseeing deployments at customer sites. This position serves as the primary liaison for managing complex, multi-dimensional projects and maintaining strong customer relationships.
This is a remote position based in the United States, ideally located in Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, or Tennessee. Candidates must reside within one hour of a major airport, as the role requires up to 50% travel.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $110K – $115K USD

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of projects through commissioning.
- Provide hands-on support and training to customers, assisting with complex technical challenges.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to define requirements, design systems, manage deliveries, and maintain customer communication.
- Oversee systems integration efforts other utility vendor platforms.
- Manage subcontract negotiations, implementation, and oversight when necessary.
- Deliver regular project performance updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced certification in Project Management, Operations Management, or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Systems), or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing large-scale, multi-faceted projects in IT, telemetry, control, or communications systems/networks.
- Proven experience in customer and stakeholder relationship management.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with AMI/AMR systems and RF or wireless communications is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
